Scavenger Hunt

Groups of more than 80 students are warmly invited to visit SRJC and have the adult chaperones lead the students in a self-guided Scavenger Hunt and/or self-guided campus tours (Santa Rosa campus only). We highly recommend having one adult chaperone for every 10-15 students in your group. Chaperones are asked to stay engaged with the students in their group, assist with "crowd control," and handle any behavior issues that might arise.

Your students will really enjoy engaging in the interactive Scavenger Hunt activity (below), which can be accessed from any smart phone. It’s fun, and provides the students with an activity that will really involve them in getting to know our Santa Rosa campus. Scavenger Hunts work well for groups of 15-20 students/chaperones. Larger groups should split up into several smaller groups and start the hunt in different areas of the campus at your discretion. We highly recommend having one adult chaperone for every 10-15 students in your group. Chaperones are asked to stay engaged with the students in their group, assist with "crowd control," and handle any behavior issues that might arise. While students are searching the campus for answers, a respectful and quiet manner is appreciated. Students are asked to be courteous toward the SRJC community, and take care to not block walkways and doorways. Please have your chaperones guide the students in using caution and cross streets only at the electronic crosswalks.

  • To access the Scavenger Hunt on your smart phone, go to the SRJC website and type "Scavenger Hunt" into the search box at the top of the home page.
  • Don't have a smart phone? A pdf version of the Scavenger Hunt and the Answer Key is available for as well.

Please contact the Office of Schools Relations and Outreach at 707-527-4863 to let us know the date and time you plan to be on campus for your Scavenger Hunt so that we can make arrangements to have an SRJC representative greet you when you arrive.
